These smiles say it all from yesterday’s MPHD Fall Social.

A heartfelt thanks to Willie Mount for hosting us—her beautiful property beneath the centennial oaks provided the perfect setting for neighbors and friends to gather.

We also extend sincere appreciation to First Federal and Ward 3 Marshal Nate Keller for the use of their tents and to Julie Miller and Willie for lending us several games, which were enjoyed by kids and adults.

And, a special thanks to outgoing board members Ann Miller and Mary Reid for their many contributions and dedicated service.

Congratulations to our new board members, Ashley Foret and Jude Hebert!

Significant thanks and a major shout-out to Ward 3 Marshal Nathan Keller for the use of this tent for tomorrow's Margaret Place Social. Likewise to Kevin Reeves, Tyler McCann, and Patrick Doucet. They expertly erected the tent in around 15 minutes! We greatly appreciate and thank you.

Fall Cleanup Thank You!

From planning and prep to cleaning, caulking, painting, shoveling, and hauling, a great deal was accomplished this past weekend.

✨Jacques Hebert was instrumental in planning and organizing, including arranging for and placing our new reminder signs. These signs can be reused year after year with simple sticker updates. Jacques also spent hours cleaning the tops of the Harrison columns. ✨Jude Hebert (Jacques’ dad) assisted with this important prep work. ✨ Bruce Wyman saved the day (or at least MK) by putting the finishing touches on the first coat of the top of the Wilson Street columns. ✨ Steve Wise allowed the use of his protected front yard for storing ladders, hoses, and other equipment—saving many extra steps during preparation week. ✨Robert & Eileen Piper could not be there, but generously provided tools that were put to use. ✨Ditto Willie Mount for securing an ice chest on wheels for water. ✨Many of those unable to attend sent their regrets and greatly appreciated encouraging messages.

On Saturday, Angela Crawford, Jacques Hebert, Jude Hebert, Robby Hess, MK Hopkins, Ann Miller, Leon Miller, Ty Miller, Mary Reid, and Bruce Wyman rolled up their sleeves and made it happen! Sadie Rulon and son Chris helped with the cleanup, and both returned on Sunday, along with daughter Leslye, to paint the columns on the ICCS side of Wilson, joining MK Hopkins and Mary Reid as they applied another coat of paint to enhance Jude Hebert's caulk work.

Painting of the Little Free Library remains outstanding, as does a second coat of the Harrison columns. Jacques hopes to tackle the Little Free Library on Wednesday afternoon. Email [email protected] by this evening if interested in helping with this final phase.
