Cole‑Miers VFW Post 3619 & Auxiliary announcement with profound sadness, we share that Sonja Lambert, Department of Louisiana VFW Auxiliary President, passed away on August 31, 2026. Our hearts are broken as we mourn the loss of a remarkable leader whose dedication to our veterans, families, and communities was unmatched.

Sonja’s influence reached far beyond her Department role — she made a lasting impact on Cole‑Miers VFW Post 3619, our Auxiliary, and the entire Beauregard Parish community. Her leadership strengthened our programs, inspired our volunteers, and elevated the standard of service across the parish. She championed unity, compassion, and unwavering commitment to veterans, leaving a legacy that shaped us all.

We will honor her memory by ensuring her legacy continues through every act of service, every community project, and every veteran we support. Sonja’s light will remain at the heart of Post 3619 and Beauregard Parish. Rest in peace, Madam President. You will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
