Lake Butler Woman's Club Lake Butler Woman's Club The GFWC Lake Butler Woman's Club was organized on October 8, 1912 as the Civic League.

In 1914, they became a part of the General Federation of Women's Clubs. The name of the club was changed to Lake Butler Woman's Club. The GFWC Lake Butler Woman's Club is in District 4 of the Florida Federation of Women's Clubs.

Our May meeting was on May 18.
Thank you to Kenli Jenkins, our scholarship winner and guest speaker.
Another highlight of the meeting was the Installation of our new 2026-2028 Officers performed by District 4 Director and President of GFWC Lakeshore Woman’s Club Terry Laws. Our new officers are: President Margie Coburn, 1st Vice President Bobbie Morgan, 2nd Vice President Barbara Fischer, Secretary Margaret Reeves and Treasurer Harriett Maines. Congratulations to our new officers.
Thank you to the May meeting hostesses: Jean Brannen, Harriett Maines, Margo Van Peterson, Ann Hendricks and Helen Green.
We are recessed for the summer and will begin our meetings again in September.

Some of our members went to the America250FL mobile exhibit yesterday at the Lake Butler lake park. We were pleased to see that the exhibit mentions the work of the Florida Federation of Women’s Clubs and how they helped create the first state park in Florida, leading to the Everglades National Park.
