Imagine the band tonight playing in a nice shelter or pavilion…..🤔

I've been pondering how to proceed from here. The whole 'landscape' thing and the recent $1900 tic to our bankbooks, kinda put water on my fire. I was not about to enter into a 'less than happy' environment to ask for even more money from you.

Thankfully the 'landscape' thing is in our rear view mirror and we are not asking for $2.5 million.

That said... As you are out and about, talk to your neighbors about it. Talk, Call or E-mail your association president and express your support for, or opposition to, the Crown Jewel Project. Its cheaper than you think and, my gosh, at a time where people literally moving from LBS to get away from some nonsense, this is a minimal investment with a maximum "WOW" factor.

I will be communicating with all of the association presidents in the coming weeks to address this in more detail.

In the meantime.....Thanks for your support, Stay cool and check on your vulnerable neighbors this weekend. If that's you, check in with your loved ones.

Next time you walk by the area. Think about what you would put there if it was your choice. We'd love to hear from you.

I would appreciate any contractor type folks out there that can add any information that we might find useful. Or if you have any questions about this in any way.

A long post, sorry.

A Pavilion would be more than functional. It would be symbolic. A well-designed structure could quickly become the most celebrated spot in LBS—our very own "Crown Jewel."
We are advocating a grass roots campaign from you, our supporters. Contact your board association members and president, your friends, your neighbors. Tell them you support this effort.

Vision
This structure would be:
• Beautiful and welcoming
• Accessible year round to all LBS residents and their guests
• A venue for beach party rentals, music, LBS events, relaxation, and more.
• An iconic, photo-worthy landmark for LBS
• A vibrant social gathering space enhancing our neighborhood's appeal to perspective new neighbors.

Funding
• HOA approval and partial funding as the foundation for this community improvement
• Crowdfunding from supportive residents and guests
• Private donations and sponsorships from local businesses and families
This multi-source approach allows us to dream bigger without overburdening the HOA budget.

Key Master Board/Committee Considerations
• Budget and Feasibility
• Design features and aesthetic appeal
• Electrical and lighting requirements
• Maintenance costs
• Usage, rules and rentals
• Sound/noise guidelines

What we are going to be asking for, is the following.
• The Master Boards excitement and endorsement
• Budget guidance and planning resources
• Resident support to move this vision to the next steps

Together, we can create an iconic space that reflects the spirit of LBS—welcoming, vibrant, and connected.
