Mountain Homeless Coalition Mountain Homeless Coalition, a community based organization, has found homeless persons have barriers to getting their lives back on track. We counted eight.

MCH was formed to help. In January of 2016 a few volunteers gathered to tally homeless persons in our community. The County was not encouraging, thinking that it was too cold, and homeless persons would leave the mountain rather than brave the cold nights. This year, there were far more volunteers, and 38 individuals were counted. Since convention has it you multiply the number counted by 4 to ge

t the TRUE number of homeless, SO we have about 150 in our community. The number is higher in Big Bear. The volunteers decided that we couldn't just COUNT, but we must see what the needs are and whether we can at least TRY to meet them. OUR VISION -
Mountain Homeless Coalition seeks a community where all have shelter and there are resources that are needed for a healthy life where all can thrive.
