Lacawac Sanctuary is dedicated to inspiring lifelong connections to nature and shaping the next generation of scientists and earth stewards through research, education, preservation. Lacawac Sanctuary is a ecological research field station, nature preserve, and public environmental education facility located in the Northern Pocono Mountains of northeastern Pennsylvania. It was founded in 1966, via

The property also features over nine miles of hiking trails which include a natural boreal bog, the Wallenpaupack Ledges Natural Area, and Heron and Golden Ponds. Lake Lacawac was declared a National Natural Landmark by the U.S. Department of the Interior in 1966. The 1903 historic “Adirondack Great Camp” building complex at its core has been named to the National Historic Register. The mission of Lacawac Sanctuary Foundation is to preserve Lake Lacawac, its watershed, the surrounding forest and historic structures; provide a venue for ecological research, scholarly interaction and the training of scientists; and provide education on environmental and conservation issues to all ages.

Last night, Lacawac hosted our 6th Annual Cocktails for Conservation, bringing together supporters, community members, and friends for an evening of celebration, connection, and conservation.🌿🍹

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the event such a success. Your support of Lacawac’s mission of research, education, and preservation makes a meaningful impact and helps ensure that our work continues for years to come.

Throughout the evening, guests enjoyed delicious food from The Mustard Seed Catering, a wonderful selection of wines from B & G Winery LLC, locally crafted beers and ciders from Jam Room Brewing Company, and exceptional beverage service from POUR Special Events Beverage Service LLC.
