Hi everyone
It’s Memorial Day weekend 2024 and I understand that we had some boaters racing on Sanford lake.
As a reminder Sanford Lake is a no wake lake meaning your boat uses a trolling speed.
While we have signs posted at the boat launches it’s likely some folks are not aware of this restriction. This restriction must be included in rental agreements to insure safety and pleasure for all residents.
Thanks
Bob Kelly
SLA Treasurer

North Manitou Island is like a petri dish. It shows what happens when the deer exhaust a food supply, and all the young plants and greenery are eaten to a nub. It’s a cautionary tale about the entangled fates of whitetail deer and the forests they inhabit.
