In anticipation of the forecasted rain and cold weather on Saturday 5/23, we have decided to postpone our Horse Shoe Hunt game until Sunday, 5/24. Please join us on Sunday between 11am and 4pm.

Join us for horse camping on Memorial Day weekend, May 22-25, 2026 at the Sleepy Hollow State Park equestrian staging area. Must be a member to camp, $20 per night, first come basis.
Saturday will be the horse shoe hunt game starting mid-morning and potluck at 6 pm.
Sunday will be the poker ride with some candy out on the trails and apparel will be available at the pavilion.
We will have membership forms available at the registration table should you need one. ($15 individual/ $20 family)

THANK YOU to the amazing members who showed up bringing helpful hands, tractors, ATVs, yummy dishes to pass, and smiling faces! The staging area is all spiffy with some new picket poles and is ready for Memorial Day camping!

Sat. April 25 spring workbee 8:30-?, weather permitting , due to wet conditions , we are working in staging area w some new pickett poles, cleaning culverts, moving gravel to two spots close to camp , tidying up staging area and corrals. Shovels, rakes, garden rake, saw, wheelbarrow , ATV may be limited to trail wetness. SloppyJoe's w Sue at 1:00 and other lunch ladies, optional dishes to pass. .must sign in. 989-277-8544

Congratulations to SHTRA President Marsha Putnam on being awarded the prestigious Wayne Mears Lifetime Achievement Award by the Michigan Horse Trails Association; this recognition is a testament to her dedication to Michigan horse trails and Sleepy Hollow Trail Riders Association!! We are so proud of you, Marsha!

Thanks to the members and guests who attended our annual meeting and Auction. The potluck was amazing and no one went home hungry. 2026 Plans were discussed. Be watching the mail as our membership acknowledgements and event schedule will be coming out soon. Thanks for helping making our group great! See ya at the park.

Heads Up SHTRA members and Friends. Saturday Feb. 7 Victor TWP Hall 11am set up, 12:00 Social hour w our favorite Cowpokes playing music, Potluck 1:00 We eat! Short meeting and the Auction. Ham, potatoes, beans, ect. Bring your favorite dish to pass .Coffee, ice water, and plastic service furnished. Bring your own table service if you prefer. Come and join us in a fun day to break up this winter. See Ya!
