A JAPANESE CULTURAL EXPERIENCE

Sekiguchi Sensei, the 21st Grandmaster of Muso Jikiden Eishin Ryu Iaijutsu is coming to Maui from Tokyo to share his knowledge and experiences with his Komei Juku students. Sekiguchi Sensei will hold daily workshops from March 8 to March 17, 2013 to practice these techniques and strategies as well as to study the philosophy and standards of the samurai. These philosophy and standards have resulted in a code of conduct that has become known as Budo. Budo has become a basic and influential part of Japanese culture. The content of this part of Samurai culture is Budo and the Japanese swords that are admired the word over, to present day.

The evening workshops are open to the public. This will be a rare opportunity to experience close up the training and sword techniques of the martial art of iaijutsu used by 16th century Samurai as well as todays Maui samurai.

Come and share in this Japanese cultural experience.
