Lahaina Hawaiian Civic Club Our mission is to serve with pono in advocacy of culture, health, economic development, education, social welfare and nationhood.

In addition to advocacy we are committed to perpetuating and preserving our language, history and cultural traditions. The Lahaina Hawaiian Civic Club is a charter of the Association of Hawaiian Civic Clubs. The Association is the oldest Hawaiian community-based grass roots organization founded in 1918 by Prince Jonah Kuhio Kalaniana’ole. Currently we are a confederation of fifty-two (53) Hawaiian

Civic Clubs located throughout the State of Hawai`i and in the States of Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Illinois, Nevada, Utah, Virginia and Washington State.

In addition to amazing entertainment, the Prince Kūhiō Ho‘olaule‘a at Queen Ka‘ahumanu Center will feature a variety of community organizations and cultural practitioners sharing their work with the community.

Join us on Friday, March 27 from 5:00 to 8:30 PM to talk story and learn more about the Hawaiian Civic Club movement from Lahaina Hawaiian Civic Club and Central Maui Hawaiian Civic Club, and explore exhibits and hands-on activities with groups including Maui Grown 808, LLP, Waihe'e Limu Restoration, Maui Forest Bird Recovery Project, Malama Kaehu, and more.

Spend the evening connecting with organizations doing important work in our community while honoring the legacy of Prince Jonah Kūhiō Kalanianaʻole.
