Cheeee choke fun cleaning up down Puʻunoa. Such a great example of community coming together and having fun while getting work done.

Lots of trash collected by the amazing volunteers and and being disposed of by

The invasive brush and trees that the volunteers removed in the dirt lot that was once the Alamihi fish pond, were mulched on site by who generously brought his chipper down. Most of the work done was possible because of that chipper!

provided food for the community after they worked so hard! even came to serve the volunteers which was awesome cause everyone was dirty haha.

brought fighting poles down and helped the keiki and ʻohana have fun down on the beach!

set up their mobile skate ramps so that people could enjoy the freshly paved parking area in front Jodo Mission.

made it all happen! And even hosted everyone for lunch in the shade after.

donated water I keep everyone hydrated.

Such an awesome day. Follow along and stay tuned cause we got more to come!!!

They passed Bill 9. Then came H3/H4 to undo it.

No new loopholes. Housing first. Always.

05/24/2026

Bill 9 passed 5-3. All 3 Planning Commissions voted NO on H3/H4.

Now the County Council needs 6 votes for a super majority to override the community’s hard work and pass it anyway.

We only need 4 council members to hold the line.

900+ families still on FEMA. No shortage of vacation rentals. A devastating shortage of homes.

Hold. The. Line.

05/23/2026

We spent years fighting for Bill 9. The community showed up. The council voted. The Mayor signed it into law.

Three weeks later, they introduced H3/H4. Brand new hotel zoning, built for one purpose: to let those same short-term rentals bypass everything we just won.

Planning Commission said NO.

Now the County Council needs a 6-of-9 supermajority to override them. That hearing is THIS TUESDAY.

We have put up a fight every step of the way — and we’re not done yet.

We showed up to the Maui Planning Commission and made it clear: we will not go down without a fight. The proposed H3/H4 zoning threatens to take even more housing away from our people at a time when we are still in crisis.

We need you to show up again.

Submit your testimony and stand with the community. We cannot let sweeping zoning undo the will of the people or delay the return of these units back to long-term housing.

There is NO shortage of short-term rentals on Maui BUT there is a shortage of homes for our families.

We are fighting for our neighbors. For our keiki. For our kūpuna. For MaUI.

🗣️ Use the link in our bio to submit your testimony⏰ Deadline: TOMORROW MORNING

Mahalo nui for always answering the call.
