The Wellness & Prevention Center, in partnership with CUSD and the Alexander Neville Foundation, will be hosting a free film screening of the documentary "Can't Look Away: The Case Against Social Media" on Tuesday, March 24th at 6 p.m. at San Juan Hills High School.
This documentary exposes the dark side of social media and its devastating impact on young users. Based on investigative reporting by Bloomberg Newsβ Olivia Carville, the film follows the Social Media Victims Law Center fighting for justice for families whose children suffered tragic consequences linked to social media use. As families seek justice, βCanβt Look Away: The Case Against Social Mediaβ underscores the urgent need for industry reform and serves as both a wake-up call about the dangers of social media-and a call to action to protect future generations.
The film screening will be followed by a panel discussion with impacted families, mental health professionals, and social media safety advocates.
This event is intended for an adult audience and not recommended for children under age 13. Anyone under age 18 will not be permitted without a parent guardian.
