We rescue all breeds (primarily small breeds) and are 100% volunteer run, utilizing foster homes to rescue dogs in need. ef that the killing of adoptable shelter pets is wrong, and we fight every day to save as many as we can. Shelters have differing views of what ‘adoptable’ is, and we believe the sick and scared deserve a chance at life as well.

🐶Darcy is one of our long-term fosters, and aside from being a well established escape artist, and surfing the occasional countertop, she is always such a good girl. 🥰

On Wednesday, her foster mama brought her to the vet for what she believed was a possible UTI. An ultrasound indicated at least two bladder stones, and an x-ray indicated more. By the end of the day, Darcy had an unexpected surgery to have 10 (yes, TEN) stones removed. 🥺

🐕‍🦺 We are so thankful that Darcy is on the road to recovery. The stones removed from her bladder will be sent out for analysis to determine if she needs to be on a special diet going forward, in order to eliminate the potential for future bladder stones.

🐾 DINO is a small foster based rescue, and relies primarily on donations. When we have unexpected surgeries such as this, donations for , and any time, are especially immensely appreciated. On this , we are introducing Miss Emma! 🐶 💗🐾

Emma very recently came into rescue from the Moreno Valley shelter. Emma is aged as 2 to 3 years old by the vet, and is a bundle of energy! She often has a puppy-like curiosity, and loves to play with her plush toys… There is no thing as too many squeaky plush toys for Emma! She is a work in progress with her potty training, so Emma’s new family will need to continue working with her. She does typically do well using a p*e pad.

Emma loves other dogs, and would do best in a home that has another dog with similar energy. She also loves roaming around in the backyard, checking various areas in corners so a home with a secured yard is highly preferred. Due to Emma‘s energy level and sometimes rough play, a home with small children is not recommended.

This sweet girl loves cuddles, loves belly rubs, and ear rubs, and is working on her basic commands. She sleeps in her crate in the evening. Emma‘s comfort on a leash for walks has not yet been assessed.

On this we have very happy adoption announcements for a very special little family!

🐶 Sweet little Peanut came into rescue several months ago, and had an emergency c-section shortly after her arrival. Only two of her puppies survived after an emergency c-section. 🥺 Rocky and Sienna were born on October 5, 2025, and looked just like their mama. 🥰

This entire little family went to amazing homes!! 🥳 Peanut was adopted by a family and has two fursiblings! Her big sister is a golden doodle who loves to play with her! Her new family was so happy to welcome a little cuddle bug into the family.

💗🩵Sienna and Ricky were adopted together, and will always have each other. Their family has always had Chihuahuas, and adores the breed. We couldn’t be happier to see these sweet little ones find their happy ever after in the same home.

Rescue never stops, with the continued need for the many dogs who need to be saved and well vetted. 😢

Happy !

How has this adorable, life loving, practically perfect little girl not been scooped up? Miss Darcy is still looking for her forever family .💖🐾

Darcy is a 20 lb, five year old Schnauzer / poodle mix. She came into rescue when her owner passed away and her fur siblings were surrendered to the shelter. DINO pulled Darcy and three of her siblings when they did not get adopted by the public.

Darcy has been in a foster home with other dogs and has done extremely well. She is always happy to meet any dog on the street, small, medium or large. She is potty trained, and crate trained. Darcy also knows sit, stay, shake, down, and is doing well on her leash walking. She loves to ride in the car, sleep with her human, and behaves very well when out at restaurants. 🐶

Darcy absolutely loves and adores her humans, and bonds very quickly to her people. She adores other dogs, and would love another pup to keep her company. She not been tested with children, but with her calm demeanor, she likely be just fine.

We will only adopt Darcy out to families in a single family home with a secured, fenced yard. Since Darcy can be an escape artist because she is so curious and smart, it is critical that there are no items she can climb on near a fence (bbq/garbage cans/chairs). Apartments are also not recommended, as she can bark for a while if she hears a strange noise or when visitors arrive. An adopting family in the Orange County area is highly preferred.

On this , we are introducing Santiago and Diego! 🩵🩵

These two adorable baby boys came into our rescue several weeks ago. They were initially believed to be a couple years old, but they were actually only three months old! 🥰 These two little boys are so precious, and just recently received their vaccines. They will be neutered within the month, before they head to their forever homes. 🐶

These two tiny bundles of love have a great time with their squeaky toys. 😍They play well together, and love the other dogs in the home where they are currently being fostered, so they will do fine with other dogs their size as well as larger dogs. 🐾 Diego and Santiago typically sleep in their crate at night. They are p*e pad trained.

On this , please meet our absolutely adorable pocket size pup, Peanut! 🐕 ♥️🐾

The teeny tiny girl came into Dogs in Need Organization rescue as an expectant mama nearly three months ago. She had her puppies, and was a wonderful mommy to her babies. Now it’s time for her find her furever family. 🥰

Peanut is just three years old, and weighs 6.4 pounds. She may be tiny, but she has such a big heart!! She gets along great with other dogs her size and a little larger, but has not been around large dogs yet. She is very playful and sweet. 💗🐾 Peanut is making great progress walking on her leash. She is crate trained, p*e pad trained, and will be working on her house training. 😊

On this , our rescue would be honored and grateful for your support. Throughout the year Dogs in Need Organization helps as many dogs in need as we possibly can. We pull from the overcrowded shelters and take in owner surrenders, in the hopes of giving dogs a new life and new forever family to love. Every dog is assessed by a veterinarian, spayed / neutered, given vaccinations, and provided any medications that may be needed to bring them back to full health for their new lives. Our rescue is a safety net for all of our adopted dogs, to make sure they’re never abandoned again.

Happy Friday!!

On this , please meet Miss Daisy! 🌼 💗🐾This sweet girl is perfection tied up with a pretty bow!!

Daisy recently came into our rescue and is the absolute perfect little girl. She is a pug, approximately four years old, and beyond adorable. 💕 If you are looking for a ray of sunshine ☀️ Daisy is your gal. She currently lives with two other small dogs, and enjoys hanging out with them, as well as her people. 😍 She also loves her plush toys!

Daisy is crate trained, and house trained (according to her foster mom, she has not yet had an accident in the house). Daisy loves to have pets and snuggles, as often as possible. Her favorite parts of the day are when her foster parents wake up in the morning to see her, when they come in the door, and when they are on the couch snuggling with her. 🥰
