After years of dedicated service as Chief Calvert's assistant, Mariann Tracy was honored for her retirement. Her commitment to the department and to the people in it has left a lasting impression on everyone she's worked alongside.

But Mariann isn't stepping away from the mission. We're thrilled to welcome her as a voting member of the Laguna Beach Police Community Foundation Board. Her deep knowledge of the department and her genuine love for this community make her an incredible addition.

National Night Out gave us the opportunity to connect with Laguna Beach residents, share our 2025 impact, and talk about what the Laguna Beach Police Community Foundation actually does for employees of the LBPD and their families.

CSO Nicole Rice spent time with Laguna Beach kids at the library's Ice Cream Social. Passing out pencils, sharing smiles, and doing what she does best: making our community feel a little more connected.

This is what community policing looks like up close. Not just protecting our neighborhoods, but being part of them.
