Instagram account is lagrange_troop_82 The Troop was founded in 1955, making our 50th anniversery the year 2005.

We meet every Wednesday, when the Arlington School District is in session, 6:30pm to 8pm in the meeting room of the Trinity United Methodist Church. Troop 82 of the Boy Scouts of America is chartered to the Trinity United Methodist Church in LaGrangeville, NY as part of the Dutchess district in the Hudson Valley council. The Troop currently has almost 50 youth members. and prides itself on our man

y accomplishments in the past few years. Troop 82 frequents the outdoors and takes a camping trip, the heart of Scouting, once a month. Also, our Troop has had over twenty Scouts reach the Rank of Eagle Scout in the past five or so years. This is quite an accomplishment, as less than two percent of all Boy Scouts nationally ever reach this highest Rank.

Proud to serve our community! Troop 82 teamed up with Troop 55 and Pack 33 for a moving Flag Day retirement ceremony at the Salt Point Fire House. It’s always an honor to show our respect for our nation’s colors alongside our fellow scouts and local heroes.

Troop 82 changed things up this year! 🛶 After a few great years of rafting, we decided it was time for a fresh challenge on the water and traded our rafts for canoes. The Scouts did an amazing job learning new paddling skills and navigating the river! 🌊💪

From trekking the Boston Freedom Trail and camping inside Fort Ticonderoga, to visiting the Statue of Liberty and Philadelphia—our Scouts have seen it all. "To do my duty to my country..."

A core pillar of Scouting is citizenship, and there is no greater way to practice it than by honoring those who gave everything for our country. This Memorial Day, the Scouts of Troop 82 had the profound privilege of participating in the Town of LaGrange’s annual remembrance ceremony.

Standing shoulder-to-shoulder with local veterans and neighbors, our youth were reminded of the true meaning of service, sacrifice, and community. We are so proud of the reverence and respect our Scouts showed during this meaningful event.
