Your donation to help local veterans could have TWICE the impact!

Clothes For Joes is preparing to open a new Veteran Service Center in Fort Wayne, offering veterans more than just clothing. The facility will provide access to showers, hygiene supplies, phone and mail services, and connections to additional resources.

Now, thanks to a $50,000 matching commitment from the Summit Legacy Foundation, every dollar donated toward the center through December 20 can be doubled! With the grand opening scheduled for Veterans Day, community support could help bring the organization within reach of its $250,000 fundraising goal.

Veterans don’t need our pity. And they don’t need another organization that measures success by how much free stuff it gives away.

They need us to actually change lives.

At Clothes For Joes, the clothing is the tool. It isn’t the mission.

A pair of work boots isn’t just a pair of boots.

It might be the boots someone wears to their first day at a new job.

A clean shirt isn’t just a clean shirt.

It might be the shirt someone wears to an interview that changes the direction of their life.

A hygiene kit isn’t just a bag of toiletries.

It might be one less barrier standing between someone and getting back on their feet.

And sometimes, a veteran walks through our doors needing much more than clothing. They may need food. They may need a connection to another organization. They may need someone to listen. They may simply need to know that somebody gives a damn.

That’s why we’re here.

We’re not trying to build a warehouse where veterans come to get free stuff.

We’re building a resource that helps veterans remove barriers, regain confidence, find opportunity, and move forward.

Because handing someone a shirt feels good.

Helping that person get their life moving again? That’s impact.

We don’t want to count how many bags we’ve handed out.

We want to know:

How many barriers did we remove?
How many opportunities did we help create?
How many veterans took their next step because their community decided to stand behind them?

The goal isn’t dependency.
The goal is opportunity.
The goal is impact.
The goal is changing lives.

A Hand Up, Not A Hand Out.

🇺🇸 That’s the mission.
