Join us for Traits of High-Performing Boards, an interactive workshop designed to help nonprofit organizations strengthen board effectiveness, clarify roles, and build stronger communication and shared leadership.

Tuesday, November 17 | 9:00 AM–1:00 PM
Community Health Clinic Education Room

With Erin Hedges and Kara Harrison from Hedges, participants will:
• Learn leading practices of high-performing boards
• Assess how their board aligns with proven best practices
• Identify practical steps to strengthen board effectiveness
• Explore ways to improve communication, engagement, and shared leadership

Nonprofit leaders are encouraged to attend alongside their board president or another board leader so you can build shared understanding and leave with actionable next steps together.

This workshop is part of a regional nonprofit leadership series created in partnership by the Steuben County Community Foundation, Community Foundation DeKalb County, LaGrange County Community Foundation, and Community Foundation of Noble County.

We were excited to join the LaGrange County Parks Department on September 30 to celebrate new additions at Dallas Lake Park!

The LaGrange County Community Foundation provided a $25,000 grant to help support a new pickleball court and playground equipment.

As part of the improvements, a section of the former playground is being transformed into a natural outdoor play area, drawing inspiration from parks across the country that use natural elements to encourage creative outdoor play. Plans also include a mud kitchen inspired by the Parks Department’s Forest School program.

Congratulations to the LaGrange County Parks team on a great project! Their creativity and thoughtful approach are creating even more ways for children and families to play, explore, and enjoy the outdoors. We’re glad to support improvements that make places like Dallas Lake Park even better for our community! 🌳
