Troup CLCP CLCP promotes literacy awareness and programs to assist students in need of basic adult education.

Chartered in 2002, Troup County Certified Literate Community Program (CLCP) promotes community-wide literacy and enhances the quality of literacy in accordance to the guidelines of the State of Georgia. The CLCP encourages a love of reading as a foundation for lifelong learning and supports those programs with similar goals. CLCP promotes literacy awareness and programs to assist students in need of basic literacy education.

We have another wonderful 1000 Books Before Kindergarten superstar! This little fellow and his Mom have reached the first 100 books! Can't wait to see him grow with his reading all the way to 1000 books! We invited all little babies and their family to join 1000 Books Before Kindergarten here at Hogansville Public Library.🤓📔

What a life. What a gift. What a woman. 💕

Today, we mourn Dolly Parton- a woman who gave us songs that we’ll never stop singing, and a reason to believe that even the smallest gift can make a big difference.

Raised in the hills of East Tennessee, Dolly knew what it meant to grow up without much. Her father never had the chance to learn to read, and she never forgot the power a book could hold.

So, she gave them away.

What began as a simple idea became the Dolly Parton Imagination Library, putting millions of books into the hands of children around the world.

Just like her songs, that gift will live on.

While the world lost a little bit of its sparkle today, we intend to help carry her vision forward here at home. A donation to the Dolly Parton Imagination Library helps put books into the hands of local children- continuing the kind of gift Dolly believed could change a life.

Rest in peace, Dolly.

Her Literacy Efforts alone would have me mourn her passing but Dolly was (is) an icon in Music, Humanitarian and Philanthropic Efforts as well as being a genuinely caring and thoughtful person. Her memory will always be a Blessing.
