At the monthly work session of the Troup County School Board, the LaGrange Shrine Club was honored to present its annual Trades for Tomorrow Scholarship. The scholarship is awarded each year to one student from each of the three local high schools who plan to pursue careers through technical, vocational, trade, or work-based education programs.
This year’s recipients were Randi Hodge of Callaway High School and Cason Spears of Troup County High School. Both students were recognized for their dedication, hard work, and bright futures ahead. During the presentation, they were encouraged to pursue excellence, make a positive impact within their communities, and strive to leave a lasting impression on the world around them.
For the members of the LaGrange Shrine Club, whose mission is deeply rooted in supporting our Shriners Children’s Hospitals through fundraising and service, the opportunity to invest in the next generation of local leaders is especially meaningful. Supporting young people as they prepare to carry forward the values of hard work, leadership, and community service remains one of the organization’s greatest rewards.
