🍂 VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: THS HOCO DANCE 🍂

The THS PTO needs your help to make this year's Homecoming Dance a success! We are looking for energetic volunteers to join our setup and cleanup crews in the courtyard.

🎈 Decor Crew (Setup)

Help us transform the courtyard into a festive Homecoming space!
• 📅 Date: Friday, October 16
• ⏰ Time: 12:30 PM
• 📍 Location: THS Courtyard
• 🔑 Note: Please check in at the front office before heading to the courtyard.

🧹 Clean Crew (Cleanup)

Help us pack up the decorations and leave the courtyard sparkling clean!

HOMECOMING DANCE: Friday, October 16, 2026 from 8 to 10:30pm.

💙Please remember, all ticket sales were final and tickets are non-transferable.
💛Students MUST show their picture ID to enter the dance. The name on the ID must match the name of the person who the ticket was purchased for.
💙 Keep in mind that if a THS student purchased a ticket for a guest who does not attend Troup, then that guest must have completed a form by Oct. 14th, which all forms are verified by THS Administrators/Staff!

Hello ALL!

We, the PTO, would like to apologize in advance, but there are no more HOCO dance ticket sales. Ticket sales were announced 3 weeks, and the students were told that we would be there Tuesday - Thursday (Sept 29th-Oct 1st) during all lunches. We did them a courtesy and extended through Friday, Oct 2nd (all lunches), after many requests. Again, we apologize that your son/daughter may have informed you late, but there’s nothing we can do at this point. We do hope you understand, and hopefully, your son/daughter will participate in Winter Formal. We look forward to serving each of you in the near future!

PSA! You've requested, and we've answered! Fri Oct 2nd is the absolute last day to purchase HOCO dance tickets. We will be available during all lunch periods. Remember: All ticket sales are final and tickets are non-transferable. You must show ID to enter the dance and if your guest is a NON-THS student, you must have a completed form turned in by Oct 14th. Let's enjoy a night BENEATH THE STARS!

💃🏽🕺🏾Homecoming ticket sales continue tomorrow and Thursday (Sept. 30 and Oct. 1). Tickets are $20 each and may be purchased by cash or check.

Regarding "Formal" homecoming:
Feedback from students was that they wanted to return to the more dressy version for a dance, as opposed to the casual, Sadies theme from last year. Think a "dress to impress" style that balances fun, youthful energy with clean, sophisticated silhouettes, often referred to as semi-formal fashion.

Example: Many young ladies choose short dresses and guys wear slacks or nice jeans with a button-down and maybe some sort of tie or bowtie.

Although there is not an official "Do or Don't" list, students should wear what they are most comfortable in. If students choose a semi formal dress or khaki pants and a bowtie, even a sportscoat, that is perfectly acceptable. If students want to go all out with long gowns and full suits, then that's great too.

Formal attire is typically reserved for the annual prom, which is a very formal occasion.
We hope that this clears up any confusion. Our goal is for our students to attend and have a great time dancing the night away. The THS PTO does not want expectations with attire to cause stress or hardship for our students. We look forward to spending the night "Beneath The Stars" with everyone!

If you have already paid, you can have your child or you may pick it up in the front office. It will have to be signed for upon pickup. PLEASE get it by 9/22/26. After this date, you will need to contact us to get your blanket. If you wish to purchase, please contact a board member. Thank you for your support and patience in our efforts to support THS staff and students💙💛
