Recently, Ujima Tribe Inc./Tribe Ujima Trust released 13 butterflies at The Planted Roots Garden as a member begins the process of raising butterflies 🦋

As we watched them take flight, we were reminded that every seed planted, every lesson learned, and every challenge overcome is part of a greater journey. Yet, this is only the beginning!

COMING SOON - We're excited to announce plans for our future Metamorphosis Blossom Butterfly Habitat Enclosure. This will be a living educational space where children, families, and community members can learn about the butterfly life cycle, host plants, pollinator gardens, conservation, and the important role butterflies play in our ecosystem.

🐛 Learn about caterpillars and host plants
🦋 Observe the metamorphosis process 🌼 Explore pollinator-friendly gardening 📚Participate in hands-on educational activities
🌱 Help create a habitat that supports local wildlife

Just as our garden continues to grow, so does our vision for creating spaces that educate, inspire, and connect our community with nature.

We need helping hands to assist with:
🌿 Pulling overgrowth
💧 Watering
🌱 General garden maintenance
✔️Checking on our fruits, vegetables, and herbs

No experience is needed, just come ready to learn, connect, and get your hands a little dirty!

Every helping hand makes a difference and helps us continue creating a space that feeds, educates, and heals our community.
