***This is a must read! (It is a little long 😁)
First Responders are usually thought of as, LEOs, FFs, EMTs, Paramedics…but the First, 1st Responders you usually never meet or see during an emergency are the very first ones you encounter when an emergency happens. These are our 911 operators.
These are the calm voices that reassure you when you call. These are the voices that instruct you how to do CPR, stop the bleeding, guide you to a safe place and get the information from you so that the other first responders can get to you quickly. But they are also the ones to hear your cries for help without ever seeing your face or you never seeing theirs.
These are also the voices on the other end of the radio that provide calmness in chaos. They give clear information and direction to those coming to your need.
They are the unseen Heroes…the unrecognized first responders, that are there 24/7 and give you the first help in your time of crisis.
They shed tears with you, their hearts break with yours.

This week is National Public Telecommunicators Week!
I want to recognize our Troup County E911 dispatchers and tell each of them thank you!
If you know a dispatcher, let them know how much you appreciate them.
