Veterans Affairs PA Association Veterans Affairs Physician Assistant Association Our members include PAs employed within or who are retired from the VA, resident PAs, and PA students.

The Veterans Affairs PA Association (VAPAA) is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing high quality care for our nation’s veterans through advancing the PA profession within the VA. Our mission is to:

* Champion the interests of PAs working in the VA system and promote these interests at the federal level and to the AAPA.

* Increase access to exceptional and safe care for veterans by d

ecreasing barriers to practice for PAs within the VA.

* Develop and sustain collaborative relationships with organizations that share common goals.

* Provide a focal point for sharing information among VA PAs across the nation. Note:

VAPAA does not represent PAs in individual local employment matters. VAPAA may provide guidance and support to VAPAA members, but local employment matters such as step increases, pay, credentialing, assigned tour hours, and discipline can only be addressed at the local level and/or with AFGE. VAPAA is a constituent organization of AAPA.
