Today we had to put down our 16 1/2 year old we**ie dog, Boudreaux. We’ve had him since before we were married and he moved all over the country with us. He was a sweet and empathetic little boy. He definitely knew how to test our patience though 😂. We love and miss you, sweet boy. It was your time but that doesn’t make it any easier to let you go ❤️

Scooby is looking for a new home! Located in south louisiana.

From his current owner:
He is estimated to be right around 1 yrs old. I took him in to try to help him going to the pound but I can’t keep him in my current situation and need to find him a home soon.

He is good with kids and all other animals. Extremely playful. He has had his shots. I would guess he weighs between 35-45 lbs”.

With so many receiving shelters and rescues completely jammed in the wake of the pandemic, it has been a trying year for all of us in Rescue. However, LMS Animal Rescue Foundation's RuffRider Transports is so excited to announce that three of our long-term fosters, Woo-Woo, Cami, and Benny have been accepted for transport and are heading one step closer to their furever homes on September 30! Thank you so much to The Stuller Family Foundation for your generous grant that made heartworm treatments possible for Benny and WooWoo!

Animal shelters in Louisiana struggle with overcrowding, with many shelters being forced to euthanize dogs before they can be rescued and/or adopted. Heart worm disease is one of the leading obstacles that prevents local and regional animal rescues from pulling dogs in shelters often leading to euthanization.

LMS Animal Rescue Foundation's RuffRider Transports, a local animal welfare nonprofit, works to fill this gap by being able to pull and treat dogs with heart worm disease and give them a second chance at a long and happy life.
