Yesterday Out and About Group visited the UL Archives at the Edith Garland Dupré Library! 📚

Neil is a reference archivist with aphasia and a longtime member of ACA. He and his colleague Scott gave a short presentation on their work, then brought out some materials for us to look at. Neil showed us a book from the 1880s and even pulled out some soil maps for Rose to peruse!

We were so impressed by our visit! The archives are available to anyone who wants to learn more about history or genealogy. Next time you have a question, go find Neil! 🔎

Last week Rose and Mary traveled to Wisconsin to attend the Chippewa Valley Aphasia Camp! They got to spend time time with Jerry Hoepner along with Tom, Mary Beth, countless people with aphasia, students and volunteers. Here are just a few pictures from their time up north where they conquered all the outdoor activities! The best part is learning how to run aphasia camps so we can expand our own programming right back here in Louisiana. Thank you for having us, friends! We learned so much!
