SOMETIMES WE NEED TO REMEMBER WHERE GOD BROUGHT US FROM

As we go through life and begin laying down the things of our past, sometimes we forget exactly where God brought us from. Every now and then, we need to reevaluate and remember, not so we can live in the past, but so we never return to it.

The enemy’s purpose is to deceive us. He will replay the good times and try to convince us that our old lifestyle was fun. But he won’t remind us where those “good times” eventually led. He won’t show us the pain, the brokenness, the bo***ge, or those nights when we wondered whether we would ever make it out alive.

That is why we occasionally need to glance into the rearview mirror. Don’t stare so long that you stop moving forward, just look long enough to remember how far God has brought you.

We don’t go back to live in the places God delivered us from. The only reason we ever return is to reach into that darkness and help pull somebody else out!

If the trial in front of you seems impossible, place it in God’s hands. Stop exhausting yourself by fighting a battle that belongs to the Lord. Step out of the way, trust Him, and watch Him begin to move in that situation.

God is able to do exceedingly and abundantly above everything we could ever ask or imagine. He did not bring you this far just to abandon you now!

Remember where you came from.
Thank God for where you are.
Keep moving toward where He is leading you.
And never go back into the bo***ge from which Jesus set you free!
