Philippe Billeaudeaux has made his mark over the years as one of Lafayettes finest creatives. As a talented musician, Billeaudeaux has been a part of many projects including Feufollet, The Mamou Playboys, Bijou Créole, The Amazing Nuns, and more. His art doesn’t stop there. He is also an animator and co-director of “Aventures de Boudini et ses Amis,” the first animated series in Louisiana French.

Since 2008, his body of work with Chris Stafford has grown and flourished. The musical chemistry between the two was obvious, perhaps because of their brother hood off the stage.

Philippe tells us about Feufollet’s roots and branches.

Kelli Jones gives us her perspective on Feufollet’s roots and branches…

Kelli’s roots began growing in North Carolina where she started playing fiddle at the age of 15. In 2006, she moved to Lafayette, Louisiana where she found herself immersed in Louisiana’s traditional music scene. She would go on to meet members of Feufollet and eventually join the band in 2012. Kelli and Christopher created remarkable art together, showcased beautifully in their connection on stage and strong friendship. Kelli’s work is colorful and inspiring, and so are her words.

Join us on August 22nd and 23rd for Staffland Stages. You can find more information on acadianacenterforthearts.org.

We asked Anna Laura Edmiston what the roots and branches of Feufollet mean to her. This is what she had to say…

A little more about Anna Laura…
Since 2003, Anna Laura has been a driving force behind Feufollet’s sound. She began her journey with the group at only 16, going on to write and record iconic hits like “Au Fond Du Lac.” She made her mark on Louisiana’s traditional music scene and far beyond with her powerful voice and musicality.

Catch Anna Laura Edmiston and many other talented artists on August 22nd and 23rd for our first ever Staffland Stages. More information can be found at acadianacenterforthearts.org.
