All chametz needs to be cleared.

All chametz needs to be cleared.

If you're just cleaning your chametz… think twice. No, you don’t need to clean more. But maybe… it’s not only about the crumbs. What emotional chametz are you holding onto?

Bitterness? Control? Shame? Fear? Pesach is also a chance to clear space inside. You don’t need a perfect kitchen. You need intention.

What do you want to leave behind? At the Seder, we talk about chametz as more than food. Chametz is the ego that puffs us up. Chametz is the fear that holds us back. Chametz is anything that blocks us from becoming who we truly are. What’s weighing you down? What are you ready to release?

Chag Pesach Sameach.

Once again, we deal with atrocity denial. If you can help, I’m sharing this post.

I’ve heard of this film and would like to see it. Unfortunately, I haven’t found it showing near my new-ish home.

Rabbi Schwartzman was my Rabbi before I moved to CA and Temple Isaiah - Your Jewish Neighborhood. Love that they break down exactly what your vote for #3 Reform movement means in the AZM election.

Our Story

The Women of Isaiah page is a place to build community, a discussion board for questions and advice, a general information resource exchange, and a place to share Women of Isaiah related business, news, and photos.

Our ongoing activities, special events and social action initiatives offer Temple Isaiah women the opportunity to develop friendships and a sense of community while learning about and practicing Judaism, exploring important issues, and contributing to the well-being of Temple Isaiah and the larger community. As an affiliate of the Women of Reform Judaism (WRJ), we help support progressive Jewish institutions worldwide, fund vital youth programs and advocate for human and women’s rights. We also have access to wonderful resources such as the WRJ’s Holiday Guides and The Torah: A Women’s Commentary.

We invite you to become a member of Women of Isaiah. Your annual dues support many worthy Temple Isaiah programs – with an emphasis on youth – such as yearly grants to Gan Ilan Preschool and the highly successful Avodah Teaching Assistant Program for teens, gifts for our b’nai mitzvah and confirmation class students, family and teen events and trips, and much, much more. A portion of your membership dues go to WRJ’s Y.E.S. Fund for youth, education and special projects.

Please check out our activities and programs. Many women enjoy coming to a WOI event to socialize, make new friends and have fun!!! We also encourage you to get involved with Women of Isaiah by volunteering to help with an event or becoming a part of our leadership team. Come to a board meeting (check the calendar) or contact us for more information.
