KYTE - Keeping You Trained and Employed The KYTE program is for out of school youth who are seeking a high school equivalency diploma and/o The program does not cost anything for eligible applicants.

The KYTE (Keeping You Trained and Employed) program is for out of school youth. The program offers basic literacy skills, workplace literacy skills, survival skills for youth, life/leadership development skills, occupational skills training, work readiness skills, career exploration, transitional assistance, mentoring, and much more. The only cost to you will be to maintain a commitment to persona

l success. Following the registration process, the program takes place at South Louisiana Community College (SLCC) in the Ted Ardoin Bldg. located at 1101 Bertrand Drive, Lafayette, LA. At the end of the program you will receive a High School Equivalency Diploma, as well as paid expenses for a short-term customized training program of your choice, referral to post-secondary education and assistance with employment opportunities. Class takes place from Monday-Thursday from 9:00 am - 1:15 pm and lasts from 6-12 months.
