Hard to believe this is the same dog! Handsome Palmer got fully groomed today by amazing Sharon at best friends grooming in Benicia. She always comes through for our foster dogs. We could not be more thankful and we know he is. He literally since now he can see he has a new outlook on life. This handsome Non Shed five year-old likely Shih Tzu. Maybe Maltese mix is such a sweet boy. He’s a little needy, but can you blame him? Someone literally left him in a state of neglect for God knows how long. He is Dog, cat and everything friendly. He’s the perfect medium size around 20 pounds. Now that he’s been neutered, groomed he is ready for a family to call his own. Could it be you?

Look at how good Faith and Hope are doing! These are two major skin medical dogs one came to us fully burned like he was in some sort of Oakland and camp fire while the other girl just lived a life of neglect and had very severe demodex mange. Both are still on the mend, still getting medication, still getting medical baths and treatment. Their hair may not ever fully come back so we are looking for very understanding, loving forever homes that are OK with a dog who has a real story. Sharing is caring.♥️

Beautiful sensitive and shy Jeni is ready to find her forever family. Her perfect home has a yard, a flexible, work schedule and another dog. She thrives most in the presence of other dogs. She’s easy-going and sweet once she’s comfortable. She is affectionate and gentle. She’s about three years young and we don’t know what she’s been through but she is blossoming more by the day. Maybe you have a dog that needs a companion she could definitely be your dog. She’s good with big and small dogs and OK with cats. We would recommend children past toddler age. She’s already been spayed and ready to adopt.

🚨 Puppy Foster Heroes Needed! 🚨

These precious puppies are currently living in a makeshift tent alongside a busy highway in Cordelia. Their mom and the homeless couple caring for her have been doing the best they can under incredibly difficult circumstances.

For the past several weeks, Underdog Animal Rescue has been providing food and support while building trust and a relationship with the family. Today was a huge win—we were able to vaccinate and deworm the entire family! ❤️

The puppies are now 6 weeks old and getting ready for the next chapter. Mama dog is a wonderful mother, and the couple is not looking to surrender either parent. Instead, we are working with them to ensure both parent dogs, along with another couple’s dogs, are spayed and neutered so this situation doesn’t happen again.

🐾 We urgently need:
🏡 Foster homes for at least 2 per home of these puppies
💰 Donations toward the spay/neuter surgeries for the adult dogs
🤝 Rescue partners willing to help with placement

Every puppy that leaves this roadside encampment for a safe foster home is one less life growing up in danger. We can’t do this alone.

Yesterday was too much fun out in Benicia at Tender hearts preschool as they were hosting a fun family event for national pet month. We were joined by a local cat rescue, food trucks, and a local business. All the kids got to meet and greet for free with the puppies and help us encourage positive exposure and pet welfare. It was a quick pop-up but a great experience. Part of our mission is educating the youth so we can have a better future for our animals. And I would call it a huge success. Watch for future pop-ups!
