The ISAD Online Conference Call for Papers is Open! š Submissions will be accepted until 31 August 2024.
This yearās theme is The Power Of Listening. People who stutter have the unique opportunity to teach the world to listen. And to educate on the importance of listening, being 90% of effective communication. Listening helps us build trust, and better understand other peopleās situations and feelings. We all want to be heard and feel validated, getting full attention. But also SLPs, parents and other allies need to be listened to.
What are your thoughts on this year's theme āThe Power Of Listeningā?
Please submit personal stories, professional papers, research findings, creative endeavors, videos and more, to share with a world who loves, supports, and is dedicated to learning about stuttering.

This year's theme "The Power Of Listening is yet another very important issue for people who stutter and clutter. People who stutter/clutter have the unique opportunity to teach the world to listen. We all want to be heard and feel validated, getting full attention.
We believe the theme, The Power of Listening, is going to elicit so many good thoughts and ideas, and weāre excited to hear what you think about this yearās ISAD theme, from all the different perspectives in the stuttering community, including our allies.
F ex what are your experiences as a person who stutters, and what advice would you like to give to your listener? Parents, what are your experiences on listening, struggles and good practice? SLPs, what are your thoughts on listening in the therapy room, but also to be listened to by the school staff, politicians, money for research, etc? Kids and teens, what advice do you have for parents, siblings, teachers and friends and how do you want people to listen to you?
What does The Power of Listening mean to you? Write or record something, use audio and/or video, share research and presentations, submit drawings, song, poems and other creativity.
