Greater Lafayette Clay Guild

Greater Lafayette Clay Guild The Greater Lafayette Clay Guild is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization which promotes education, artistic growth, and appreciation of the ceramic arts.

Formed in 2011, the Greater Lafayette Clay Guild continues to focus on its members, the communities it serves, and also on collaborating with other community nonprofits. For its members as well as interested community guests, the Guild hosts workshops and lectures related to ceramic arts, and at least yearly hosts exhibits showcasing members' work. The Guild also is committed to the communities it

serves! For example: the Guild provides 800-1000 clay bowls each year for the Greater Lafayette YWCA's "Clay Bowl Giving Project," a community-wide lunch and dinner which funds the YW's Domestic Violence Intervention and Prevention Programs - $25,000 raised in 2014! The Guild also presented the Frankfort (Indiana) Library with 100 handmade clay appetizer plates for guests at its 2014 Annual Meeting. Guild members continue to donate their time for demonstrations and presentations for community groups and in schools.

The Greater Lafayette Clay Guild held their first event for 2026. The sun and warmer weather made for an enjoyable day this past Sunday for a Sagar - Trash Can Firing. Thanks to Ralp for hosting at his place. If you want to learn more about the Greater Lafayette Clay Guild, go to our website, greaterlafayetteclayguild.org

In case you missed our Annual General Membership Meeting last Sunday (3/1/2026), you can still pay your dues on the guild website (www.greaterlafayetteclayguild.org). We have exciting plans for 2026 including an all new 'Empty Bowls' fundraiser this fall that will benefit the Lafayette Urban Ministry (LUM)", and we are exploring the possibility of a workshop with demonstrations by an Indiana ceramic artist. Stay tuned for more!
