LaFayette High School Jr. Optimist Octagon Club-LHS JOOI Club Optimist club members embrace the positives values of optimism, respect for self and others, and independence of mind through community service.

This club is an international youth organization that is affiliated with Optimist International for students in high school between the ages of 14-18. It is a club dedicated to community service in the LaFayette/Walker County area, as well as fund raising projects for donation purposes and club supplies. Club Sponsor: Donna Speegle

The Jr. Optimist Club held it's yearly Easter Egg Hunt for the students at South Walker Headstart & Rock Springs Headstart. Then we had an enjoyable & delicious lunch as a club at the the awesome Los Gurerreros restaurant. What a fun day to be an Optimist Club member.

The Jr. Optimist Club helped with the Al Millard Stocking Full of Love Annual Biker Toy Drive, once again this year. This is a 17 year tradition for our club. We were so happy to participate in this worthy event to benefit Christmas for children in Walker County. It was a huge success, as always, with so many bikers showing the true spirit of Christmas!
