Beth Chiasson is a Lafayette native who has served as an elections commissioner in Lafayette Parish for the past several years and as a commissioner-in-charge for the past two years. She’s also a notary public and serves on the leadership team of the League of Women Voters - Lafayette. She holds a BA in Mass Communication from LSU and an MBA from UL Lafayette. In her (little) spare time, she acts and improvises with several local performing groups.

Dr. Christie Maloyed has been active with with League of Women Voters-Lafayette over the last decade working to keep Lafayette voters informed. She has a Ph.D. in political science with a specialization in civic engagement. She co-edited the book, The Party is Over: The New Louisiana Politics (2022) with Pearson Cross.
