INDIANA KIDS- a program that tracks each child's progress in Language Arts and Math. The children work on homework and supplemental assignments given by the certified staff members. Children will also learn about a variety of careers, volunteer around the community, and have lessons on personal growth. SMART Moves: the program uses a team approach using staff, peer leaders, parents, and community

representatives. More than just emphasizing a “say no” message, the program teaches young people how to say no by involving them in discussion and role-playing, practicing resistance and refusal skills, developing assertiveness, strengthening decision-making skills, and analyzing media and peer influence. The ultimate goal: to promote abstinence from substance abuse and adolescent sexual involvement through the practice of responsible behavior. Emotional Wellness: a targeted program in BGCA’s Health and Wellness core program area that supports Healthy Lifestyles. It builds the foundational social-emotional and health skills that will enable youth to make healthy decisions. People with better social-emotional skills report participating in fewer risk behaviors, including substance use and smoking. To address this, successful prevention programs should focus on building the social-emotional skills that serve as protective factors in youth and support them in avoiding risk behavior. Programs should focus specifically on self-control, emotional awareness, communication, and problem solving. SMART Girls- SMART Girls is a small-group health, fitness, prevention/education, and self-esteem enhancement program designed to meet the developmental needs of girls in three age groups. Through dynamic sessions, highly participatory activities, field trips and mentoring opportunities with adult women, Club girls explore their own and societal attitudes and values as they build skills for eating right, staying physically fit, getting good healthcare, and developing positive relationships with peers and adults. Triple Play- BGCA's first comprehensive health and wellness program, developed in collaboration with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, strives to improve the overall health of Club members, ages 6 - 18, by increasing their daily physical activity, teaching them good nutrition, and helping them develop healthy relationships. ARTS & CRAFTS- staff members work hard to come up with fun, rewarding activities for the children every day. Painting pumpkins, decorating cookies, learning about Martin Luther King Jr. through hands-on activities, weaving baskets, and painting pictures are only a few of the many crafts we offer. KEYSTONE- this unique leadership development experience provides opportunities for young people ages 14 - 18. Youth participate, both in and out of the Club, in activities in three focus areas: academic success, career preparation, and community service. With the guidance of an adult advisor, Keystone Clubs aim to have a positive impact of members, the Club, and community. PERSONAL HYGIENE- the young teens at the Club are taught the importance of keeping up with their personal hygiene. There is a laundry room used to teach the boys and girls and even use. site), our hair & nail salon, is also used for the kids to keep up with their appearance. IReady- this program allows our members to excel in their academics. Once their current level is mastered, it moves along. If a child is struggling in an area, the program will pause to give them further instruction in that area. We have certified teachers working with students, along with 1:1 devices. The children's growth is apparent with beginning and ending assessments.
