Dear Sterling Heights Community -
It has come to our attention that a concern was raised regarding a recent visit by an HOA representative. We appreciate the opportunity to address this matter and provide clarification.

As is customary in many residential communities—including Sterling Heights—the HOA retains easement rights over specific portions of individual lots. These easements, commonly situated between fences or along property lines, are formally recorded with the county and outlined in the community’s governing documents and subdivision plat..

These easement rights exist to allow the HOA or its authorized contractors to access specific areas for purposes such as utility maintenance, drainage inspections, fence repairs, or other infrastructure-related work. On occasion, this may require access to or through residential lots in order to fulfill these responsibilities.

We appreciate your understanding and remain committed to ensuring that all access is conducted with professionalism and respect for homeowners’ property.

2 Lost dogs found in Fiddlesticks. The person who found them is taking them to the Purdue Vet Clinic to see if they are microchipped.
