Greater Lafayette Civitan Club Civitan International is an organization of volunteer service clubs around the world. Members are dedicated to helping people wherever the need arises.

Civitan International was founded in 1917 by a group of businessmen determined to make a difference in their communities. Civitan's primary missions centers on helping people with developmental disabilities. Club members raise about $1 million annually to fund the Civitan International Research Center at the University of Alabama at Birmingham which focuses on autism, Down syndrome, brain tumors, epilepsy and other disorders. Local club members choose service projects based on the needs of their community. Our Greater Lafayette County Civitan Club was charter September 30, 2013.

We had a blast hosting the Party in the Patch yesterday! 🧡 Nothing brings us more joy than creating opportunities where everyone in our community can participate, connect, and enjoy the season together.

This special afternoon at Congress Street United Methodist Church gave individuals with disabilities and their families a wonderful space to dive into fall festivities. From selecting the perfect pumpkins to enjoying delicious treats, the smiles all around reminded us exactly why we love doing what we do.

A massive thank you to everyone who joined us, our incredible volunteers, and our wonderful partners like OASIS Community, Inc. for making this event so memorable!

The Great Pumpkin Patch is now open! A big thanks goes out to all the Civitan members and other wonderful folks who volunteered to assist with delivery of pumpkins and setup of the patch. And don't forget to visit before the end of the month to pick up some mums, autumn decor, sugar cookies, and all sorts of other goodies.

Hours:
Sundays-Thursdays: 12 p.m. - 6 p.m.
Fridays and Saturdays: 12 p.m. - 7 p.m.

EDIT: Our delivery truck is projected to make it early, closer to 2pm! Stop by early if you can!

TODAY is the day! Pumpkins arrive at Congress St. at 4pm for opening day in the patch tomorrow, Oct. 1st at 12pm! We'll need lots of help to get the job done, so we hope to see you there! Thanks to so many of our partners in faith and neighbors who consistently show up in this community. Dinner and drinks will be provided to anyone willing to help. Hope to see you there!

What an incredible evening of fellowship, celebration, and service!

Last night, the Greater Lafayette Civitan Club gathered to celebrate our 13th Anniversary Officer Installation and Awards Banquet, and our hearts are absolutely full.

It was a wonderful time packed with happiness, laughter, and true Civitan fellowship as we looked back on our journey and set our sights on the year ahead. We honored and recognized some of our outstanding members who have gone above and beyond to serve our community this past year. We also officially initiated the newest passionate hearts into our Civitan family and assigned new club officers for the upcoming year.

A massive thank you to everyone who joined us, helped organize the banquet, and continues to make our club such a supportive, joyful community. Here’s to 13 years of making a difference in Greater Lafayette, and to many, many more! 🥂💙
