Meals-on-Wheals
Meals on WheelsMeals-on-Wheels is a county wide program that offers two (2) well balanced meals up to six days a week for a small fee. Assistance is available for those who cannot afford the full cost of the meals. Special diets are also available. In addition salt is restricted in all these diets. Meals are delivered to the LaFayette Outreach

office and then delivered to the Nedrow-LaFayette-Tully-Fabius-Pompey areas between 11:30 am and 1:00 pm by volunteers. For more information you may call the LaFayette Outreach office or call the Meals on Wheels office at 478-5948. Women-Infants-Children (WIC)
W.I.C. - Women Infants ChildrenWIC is a federal nutrition program for pregnant and breast-feeding women, infants and children up to age 5. At WIC you will learn to plan healthy meals for your family and make your food dollars stretch. The program is offered the first Tuesday of each month at the Church of the Nativity from 8:00 am to 12:00 noon. For more information on the WIC program, call the LaFayette Outreach office or the local WIC office (315) 435-3304. WIC provides coupons for foods that are necessary dyuring pregnancy, breast feeding and baby's first five years. Friends in Service Here
F.I.S.H. is a volunteer organization providing transportation to medical appointments for individuals unable to drive themselves or unable to arrange for other transportation. The service is available to those residing in the LaFayette and Tully areas. Transportation is available on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. line is (315) 696-8659 and is open from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm Monday through Thursday only. Food Sen$e
Food Sen$e began in April, 2007 by St. Leo's Church Outreach in response to the closing of the area's only grocery store. The program offers quality food at a low cost and has no age or income requirements. For $15.50 you can purchase a "Food Unit" of frozen meats, packaged foods, deli items and fresh produce. The retail value of the Food Unit is $25-30. Specials are offered each months and may be purchased without ordering a Food Unit. There is no obligations to buy a Food Unit or Special every month. Orders/monies are due by the first Tuesday of each month at St. Leo's Parish Hall or at LaFayette Outreach office. Food Sen$e is one of 37 such programs through 14 counties coordinated by the Food Bank of CNY in Syracuse. Founded in 1985, the Food Bank of CNY is a not-for-profit organization.
