Our staff received an email from a former AmeriCorps Volunteer and we wanted to share the kind words that reminded us that AmeriCorps truly is a special program that changes lives.

Here is what they had to say "I've been thinking a lot about my time with AmeriCorps and the people who made such a positive impact on me.

I truly cannot thank you enough for everything you did for me during my time in the program. Your guidance, encouragement, and belief in me helped shape both my personal and professional growth in ways I still carry with me today. Looking back, I realize just how much I learned through AmeriCorps, and I am incredibly grateful for the opportunities you gave me and the confidence you helped build in me."

Our Program Director, Julie LaFleur and Asst. Program Director, Kimberly Dural attended AmeriCamp last week. It was great to learn from the Volunteer Louisiana staff, Volunteer Louisiana Commissioners and other AmeriCorps programs from across the state. We are excited to start another year of service with our AmeriCorps Volunteers.
