We provide free civil legal services to eligible low-income residents in a variety of family law and civil matters, including divorce, custody, adoption, paternity, guardianship, wills, CHINS/DCS cases, powers of attorney, grandparents' rights, name and gender changes, and landlord/tenant issues.

We are deeply saddened to hear of the news of the shooting of Judge Steven Meyer and his wife, Kimberly, at their home in Lafayette. Our thoughts are with the Meyers family, and we are relieved to hear that both are in stable condition and receiving care.

Violence has no place in our community—especially violence that threatens the safety of those who serve the public and uphold the rule of law. Acts like this harm not only the individuals involved, but also the sense of security and trust that our justice system depends on.

As an organization dedicated to access to justice and the well-being of our community, we stand in solidarity with Judge Meyer, his family, and the broader legal community during this difficult time. We extend our support to all those affected and hope for a full and speedy recovery.
