We were honored to present the 2026 Outstanding Community Service Award to Cecelia Pearl at the Career & Technical Education Awards Ceremony at Greater Lafayette Career Academy! Cece graduated from Harrrison High School and will be attending Purdue studying Exercise Science in the School of Kinesiology.

GLCA's CTE award, sponsored by Leadership Lafayette, celebrates dedication to volunteerism and leadership, two values at the heart of our mission.

In service to our community, Cece worked at Westminster Village's Live Well Center with Leadership Lafayette Class 53 Graduate, Claire Haffley-Barron, leading fitness classes for seniors. She also volunteered with the Drug Free Coalition of Tippecanoe County, helping reduce the stigma surrounding substance use through presentations, advocacy, and community involvement.

During last week's session, Leadership Lafayette's founder, Bob Griffiths, helped us thank David Lasater & the The Community Foundation of Greater Lafayette for their ongoing support of Leadership Lafayette.

Leadership Lafayette would not be the program it is today without the vision of individuals like Bob Griffiths who planted seeds in 1982, resulting in more than 2,000 program graduates today.
