NAMI Acadiana - local affiliate of the National Alliance on Mental Illness founded to support, educate and advocate for those affected by mental illness and for their families and friends. We are a grassroots organization whose mission is to help build better lives for individuals with a mental disorder, and improve the lives of all those affected by mental illness including family members, friend

s, and the community. We encourage those interested (individuals with a mental illness, family, professionals, and friends from 7 parishes in Acadiana) to participate on our board, to train to facilitate support programs and teach educational classes, and provide information about NAMI and mental illness to the community. Our goal is to build networks in order for Acadiana residents to access our FREE services and programs. Donations are appreciated and assist us to provide hope and help to those affected by mental illness.
