Hey Lafayette! One of Santa’s top-secret elves just slipped us a message: the big man himself is rolling into town for our annual Christmas Parade this Wednesday, December 10th! Keep your eyes peeled for jolly old St. Nick… and maybe a few shiny fire engines that made the Nice List.

Our toy drive is in full swing and we need help filling our tables with donations! As the holiday shopping season kicks off, if you are out shopping would you consider grabbing an extra toy to donate? Don't overthink it, anything kid oriented is sure to be a winner! Thanks for helping us bring joy to 75+ kids and counting this year.

🚒 Teamwork Makes the Difference! 🚒

Earlier today, our crew responded to a crash near Abbey Road. Thanks to our mutial aid partners with Carlton Fire and Yamhill Fire who also answered the call to work side by side to keep everyone safe.

It’s always great to see our neighboring districts come together no matter the patch on our sleeve, we’re all part of the same team when it comes to helping our communities!

For the month of October, the Lafayette Fire Department is bringing out the PINK to show our support for those battling breast cancer, honor the survivors, and remember those who have lost their battle.

Our volunteers and staff are proud to wear pink this October to raise awareness and stand in solidarity with the fighters, the survivors, and the families affected by this disease. Let’s continue to support research, early detection, and hope.

Lafayette Fire FF/EMT Talys Hendrickson has partnered with Carlton Fire to deploy to the Flat Fire in Jefferson County under the Oregon Conflagration Act. Talys is serving LFD as a seasonal employee through the OSFM Wildfire Staffing Grant, supporting our state’s wildfire response efforts locally and regionally.

Meanwhile, Station 10 remains fully staffed and ready to respond to emergencies here in Lafayette.

We’re proud of Talys and grateful for the dedication of all our personnel serving both locally and statewide.
