Krewe de Canailles We kick off Lafayette Mardi Gras season — rolling two Fridays before Mardi Gras every year. Any group of people can pull together to create a krewe.

A Walking Parade Without Barriers

Our mission is to promote inclusivity, sustainability and creativity to create a Lafayette Mardi Gras experience like no other. Krewe de Canailles is a walking parade composed of individual krewes. The only rules are your floats have to be human-powered and your throws handmade and eco-friendly. No plastic beads at this parade. No barricades.

Whether you’re a Friday Night Lights fanatic, a hall-of-fame tailgater, or a champion in making out behind the bleachers, this year is for YOU.
