September is National Recovery Month, a time to recognize the strength, courage, and resilience of people who are working toward recovery.

For many people experiencing homelessness, the path forward can be even harder without a safe and stable place to call home. Housing provides a foundation where people can focus on their goals, reconnect with their community, and take the next steps toward stability.

Recovery is a journey. So is finding home. We believe people deserve the support and opportunity to pursue both.

There has been a lot of exciting change happening at LTHC over the past couple of months! We have welcomed new team members, welcomed back a familiar face, and celebrated staff members stepping into new roles.

Please join us in welcoming and congratulating Taylor, Kendra, Cori, Nia, Rosa, Paige, Larry, Ellen, and Levi(not pictured) as they take on new roles and continue supporting our neighbors across our programs.

We are so excited to have them on the team and look forward to all they will bring to their new positions!

A new home. A new chapter. A lot to celebrate.

Recently, we celebrated Linda as she moved into housing and took an important step forward. She has been through a lot to get to this moment, and now she is looking ahead to what comes next. We wish you all the best, Linda. We are so happy for you!

We’re proud to be part of the communities we serve.

Our team recently joined United Way in Montgomery County for their Campaign Kickoff, celebrating the power of coming together to support neighbors and strengthen our communities.

LTHC provides services across eight counties: Benton, Carroll, Clinton, Fountain, Montgomery, Tippecanoe, Warren, and White. We’re grateful for the partnerships that help make this work possible, and we’re excited to continue working alongside others to create stronger communities throughout our region.

What happens when someone has a place to call home? They have a foundation from which to build. Permanent Supportive Housing gives people who have experienced chronic homelessness a stable place to live along with the support they need to move forward.

For some, that may mean focusing on their health. For others, it may mean working toward employment, strengthening relationships, managing finances, or simply having the stability to plan for the future.

And that impact reaches beyond the front door. Stable housing creates stronger opportunities for individuals to participate in their communities, pursue their goals and build more independent lives. A home can be the beginning of what comes next.

Good food. Full plates. Full hearts.

Those trays aren’t going to serve themselves! We’re always looking for volunteers to help prepare, serve, organize, and keep our kitchen running smoothly. And if you’d rather help fill the trays than serve them, we’re always grateful for food donations, too.

Whether you volunteer your time or donate food, you’re helping make sure our neighbors have a good meal when they need one.

Want to help? Sign up to volunteer on our website at lthc.net or email our Engagement Coordinator at [email protected].

For someone who has experienced chronic homelessness, having a home can create the stability needed to begin focusing on what comes next.

That is where Permanent Supportive Housing makes a difference.

LTHC’s PSH residents have access to ongoing support that can help them navigate life’s challenges and connect to the resources they need. That can include healthcare, benefits, employment and education, transportation, budgeting assistance and more.

Because when someone has a safe and stable place to call home, they have more opportunity to focus on their health, strengthen their independence and build a path forward.

Housing provides the foundation. Support helps make what comes next possible.

We’re currently in need of underwear!

Men’s: Small, Medium, Large, XL
Women’s: Small, Medium, Large

There are two easy ways to help:
Shop our Amazon Needs List: bit.ly/LTHCECNeeds
Drop off donations: Monday through Friday, 9 AM–4 PM at Door #4 on 13th Street.

Please remember, we can only accept new underwear.

A package of underwear may seem like a small thing, but having clean, new essentials can make a meaningful difference for someone working toward stability.

Welcome back, students! We hope you’re ready for another great year.

Looking for a way to give back, meet new people, or add something meaningful to your schedule? Volunteer with us at LTHC!

We’re always looking for volunteers to help serve meals, welcome guests at our front desk, and support our programs. Whether you’re volunteering on your own or with a group of friends, we’d love to have you. Student groups are always welcome, and we’re happy to help you find an opportunity that works for your group.

LTHC is open seven days a week, all year long, so there are plenty of opportunities to get involved. Even if you can only volunteer once, you can make a difference in the lives of our neighbors while getting connected to your community.

Interested in volunteering? Sign up on our website at lthc.net or email our Engagement Coordinator at [email protected].

We can’t wait to see you!
