"I am 77 years old and I have been preparing for the end of the world as we know it since 1957 after watching my first B movie about the end at the Lynn theater in Lufkin, TX for 9 cents. I have seen many changes in this subject over the years and just want to make a few comments. I am a survivalist. Many years later someone invented the word Prepper, but I was a survivalist before the word Prepper was invented. They do not mean the same thing and I want to clarify the meanings.
A Survivalist prepares for all 24 scenareos for the end of the world as we know it (TEOTWAWKI). Bottom line is if you prepare for NBC (Nuclear, Biological & Chemical Warfare) you normally have 20 of the 24 sceneros covered unless the Nuke or Asteroid hits you on the end of your nose.
A Prepper usually prepares for only 1 to 3 sceneros with Economic Collapse normally the worst, but once in a while I find a Prepper that is not old enough to know they should be a survivalist, but call themselves a Prepper because they think that is what it is called today even though they prepared for NBC.
I will stretch a point to make a point. TEOTWAWKI means no Government, no Military, no Law Enforcement, no Electricity, no Water, no Gasoline, no TV, no Radio, money is worthless and if you don't have what you need to survive you are SOL. As anyone can figure out all those things are not missing for a Prepper preparing for a Economical Collapse. Now you can see the difference I hope. You prepare for an Economical Collapse and Iran, North Korea, Russia or China nukes us or just an EMP you will be very much SOL.
That is why everyone should know the difference, the meanings and the importance in chosing what it is they are preparing for.
Although I am a survivalist and I have been preparing since 1957 for NBC I still don't have everything that I need because of money constraints.
Now for my credentials so you will know that I did not fall off a turnip truck. I am a retired Chief of Police, a retired Special Agent, a nuclear weapons specialist, retired from the U.S. Army, retired CAP Group Commander. retired Private Investigator (owned the company), retired Texas State Radiological Monitoring Instructor and a retired Texas State Licensed NBC Consultant. I have many more hats, but these sort of apply here. I used to get paid to tell people how to prepare, how to build shelters, what kind of shelters and what to put in them, etc and much more. I am also the State Emergaency Operation Center Coordinator and Mayor of my city.
Now I can give you the bottom line with the Rule of 3 and maybe you will believe me. The Rule of 3 goes like this. You can only live 3 minutes without air. You can only live 3 days without water. You can only live 3 weeks without food. After 3 weeks all the live stock will be eaten. 3 more weeks and all the pets will be eaten. After 3 months people will be eaten. That is why it is better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it.
Some will say that will not happen. I say what is the population of each big city? Name them. Los Angeles, San Francisco, Los Vagus, Dallas, Ft Worth, Houston, Detroit and New York City just to name a few. Now apply TEOEWAWKI to millions and millions of people with nothing and nothing being manufactured and no stores to buy anything and money worthless. They will become like Army Ants and start moving across the country eating and killing everything they come across.
So people you should decide rather you really want to live or not and prepare, prepare and prepare some more. If you knew what I knew you would be shaking in your shoes with fear. There is nothing new under the sun. If you see it on TV or in the movies it is real, but Hollywooded up so you won't know the truth. If they take our guns away we may as well die trying to keep them. I will tell you only one thing to wake you up even though you will say that I am crazy. Zombies are real. The government has been experimenting with them for years. There are two kinds. They are Bacterial and Viral. Forget Hollywood. They don't become a Zombie after dying. They are made in a laboratory with live people. They do act like them in the movies and fall under the term military weapon. A bacterial Zombie can bite you and you will not become a Zombie, but a viral Zombie can bite you and you do become a Zombie because one of the ingredients to do this is the Rabies virus. Every few years they release one into the public to see what it does and what the peoples reactions are. The last time this was done was several years ago in California. The Police call went out about a crazy man that was eating somone's face off and they ended up shooting him with the news saying that he was a crazy man. You may have seen this on the news yourself and did not know the truth. Imagine hundreds of these released against an enemy and everyone they bite turns into one. Now worst than war lets imagine an accidential escape of a viral one? Things could get out of hand pretty quick. I can't tell you anymore because I don't want to disappear. So I will leave you with these words. Prepare. Prepare some more. When you think that you are ready then start over again and prepare some more."!!!
