Jackie Alexander was a thriving corporate lawyer that took on a career far from Wall Street.

She wanted to tackle food-waste so she bought a pear orchard and now runs a freeze-dried fruit puffs operation, drying berries and stone and pome fruit.

is a rancher and farmer who is serving pasture-raised, non-GMO poultry and pork using organic practices.

She also sells eggs and chicken parts like chicken feet and gizzards. She speaks to our southern hearts with that one.

To keep the meat fresh, she processes at a facility that is within 50 miles of her homestead. Oh, and get your turkey for the coming holiday season by putting $50 on it.

We love it when customer’s who purchased from Black farmers on our directory, let us know when the consumer-to-Black farmer pipeline is working. Someone told us that they purchased a meat box from Haidek’s Farm in Quitman, TX.

Haidek’s Farm is owned by Vicki and Brian Haidek. Their meats are either local pick up, delivery within 250 miles or cold storage shipping for a farm, everyday box.

Oh, by the way, Haidek’s Farm has a larger meat box where they will be processing meat early to mid November which is perfect for the holiday season.

She returned when she retired to develop a flower farm. Now she grows and sells locally produced cut flowers.
