Thete were a lot of smiles at Kids Free Fishing Day at Munger Park today. Over 175 people attended this year's event.

The young lady with a cast on her arm is proudly displaying the first fish caught today. This is the 2nd time in three years to catch the first fish

This is the 10th year we partnered with the Lafayette Breakfast Parks Department in hosting this event.

The Breakfast Optimist will be at Munger Park this Saturday to partner with the Lafayette Parks Department on Kid's Fishing Day from 9:00 AM to Noon. Putting on events like this cost money. Here is one way you can help us have funds for events like this.

On Saturdsy June 20th and June 27th the Wings Etc on Veterans Memorial Parkway will be donating 15% of sales (dine-in and carryout) to the Lafayette Breakfast Optimist Club. The funds received will all go towards sponsoring the youth activities we sponsor all year. You get to enjoy good food and we get to continue putting on events like this.
