4 A's Sisters Lupus Club The 4-A’s Sisters Lupus Club was founded in August 2011. The Andrus sister's lost both their moms (Dorothy and Leola Andrus) to LUPUS.

It was then that they decided to take action and form the 4-A’s Sisters LUPUS Club. 4 A’s came from their last name through their father, John Rogers Andrus.

There’s something special about seeing young people chase their dreams with passion and purpose. Hannah of Hannah’s Creations is a young entrepreneur striving for success since 2011 when she was only 11 and each year she has supported our Annual End Lupus Walk by selling her homemade bracelets and creative items. Last year, our dear friend Laura Broussard her Aunt along with her mom Bridgette encouraged Hannah to create even more items to sell at this year’s walk.

Sadly, her Aunt and our sweet friend Laura Broussard is no longer with us. RIP Laura, your kindness and support will never be forgotten. 💜

Although Hannah will be out of town this weekend, she still thought about us and graciously offered to donate a door prize in Laura’s honor. That truly speaks volumes about her heart, and we are beyond grateful for her continued support.

The 4 A's Sisters Lupus Club will host our Annual End Lupus Walk this Saturday, May 23rd starting at 9AM in Girard Park and we are currently seeking healthy vendors, fruits, vegetables, salads, juices, informational booths, and vendors with their own products to come out and join us.

Lupus is a disease that occurs when your body's immune system attacks your own tissues and organs (autoimmune disease). Inflammation caused by lupus can affect many different body systems — including your joints, skin, kidneys, blood cells, brain, heart and lungs.

Lupus can be difficult to diagnose because its signs and symptoms often mimic those of other ailments. The most distinctive sign of lupus — a facial rash that resembles the wings of a butterfly unfolding across both cheeks — occurs in many but not all cases of lupus.

Some people are born with a tendency toward developing lupus, which may be triggered by infections, certain drugs or even sunlight. While there's no cure for lupus, treatments can help control symptoms.
