Update: Old School House in Washington, La. The team had a great night hanging out with Mrs. Kathy and listening to the many claims at this location. After going through all of our evidence & debunking everything, the team reports they didn’t capture anything on this visit. Some of the team members did have personal experiences there. We are planning another investigation there soon!

Mary Jane Bridge, also known as Bayou Tortue Bridge near Broussard, is one of Acadiana’s most famous ghost legends. According to local folklore, a young woman named Mary Jane was murdered near the bridge many years ago and thrown into the bayou below. Since then, people have reported seeing a woman in white, hearing strange noises, and experiencing eerie activity late at night. While no verified records confirm the story, the legend has been passed down through generations and remains a well-known part of South Louisiana folklore.
